Science and Sports Day at Pomeranian University in Słupsk

Traditionally, on the occasion of University Jubilee celebrations, our University organised the Science and Sports Day as a way to promote a healthy lifestyle and to compete in a variety of sports disciplines. The event, which took place on 6 June 2024, attracted schoolchildren and secondary school students to the premises of our University.  
 

Our students and lecturers prepared a number of attractions for the residents of Słupsk, which included scientific experiments, displays, games as well as culinary surprises. The activities were tailored to the various ages and interests of the audience.
The overarching aim of the Science and Sports Day is to familiarise the residents of the region with the scientific research conducted at Pomeranian University in Słupsk. We do it in an  engaging and interactive form. 

The event  was organised as part of the project entitled: 'Social responsibility - impact of regional universities as a stimulus for intergenerational social activity - Uniwersytet Aktywny 5 plus', funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
